DECOILERS
A wide variety of uncoilers is available today to satisfy many production requirements. The Oto Mills line ranges from simple and small machines like the single mandrel uncoiler to complex and massive pieces of equipment like the double uncoiler for 168 mm tube outside diameter and the single mandrel for 320 mm diameter tube mills. Each element of the line is a sturdy piece of equipment that has been conceived to endure the loading and high speed payoff operations of heavy steel coils.
Some sophisticated uncoilers have been designed for special applications. As a brilliant example, the AD 256 PA meets the need of automatic entry systems where the operator can completely direct operating sequences from the control desk. Allowing the contemporary loading of two coils at all times, the Planetary uncoiler AD 408 P is a truly unique machine that minimizes the cycle time.

STRIP JOINERS
Oto Mills Strip Joiners are designed and continuously improved to provide the most reliable, the fastest, and the most automated joining of steel coils. Built with ample engineering safety factors and precision-machined components, they are conceived to provide a precise and dependable weld operation and consequently optimize mill uptime. Covering a range from 30 to 1.010 mm wide and 0,3 to 16 mm thick metal strip, Oto Strip Joiners offer convenient solutions to numerous tube manufacturing applications. The main line of automatic machines (GG) is provided with control of strip end position, feed into the clamps, trim of strip ends, weld cycle, bead milling, and release. Almost all functions are automated and integrated in the machine PLC. Machine layout is ergonomically designed to simplify weld inspection by operator. All strip joiners are designed to withstand many years of use in the most demanding applications with minimal maintenance.

STRIP ACCUMULATORS
Oto Mills have been continuously expanding the number of designs and improving the features of such a key component of a modern tube mill. Mill speed significantly depends on the ability to store strip in order to feed a constantly running tube mill during the stop required for joining of coil ends.
Although speed and accumulation capacity are essential parameters to measure up an accumulator, quality materials require careful strip handling as well.
Oto has great experience with space-saving vertical accumulators, be them Free-Loop types or machines for soft handling of light gages - the FBS line.
In addition, a complete line of horizontal accumulators is growing to satisfy the need of very large capacity. Full integration with tube mill systems is normally provided.

TUBE MILLS
Customers may only suspect the wealth of tube mill designs available at Oto Mills. The range, the depth, and the choice of components like driven or side idle stands are simply the widest that has ever been with a manufacturer of tube mills. Building on some core products such as the 763 tube mill, Oto has over time expanded its product lines to increase the number of options for its customers.
Need a quick-change line? Oto has several systems to consider, starting from world-wide successes like the RTC (Rapid Tool Change) mill to the sophisticated High Precision machine for those applications requiring exact control of mechanical components, setting repeatability and automatic process control.
The range spreads from machines producing 10 mm to 219 mm diameter tubes covering all possible requirements in between. The prowess and experience of Oto's engineering teams can successfully manage though challenges to design lines featuring unusually wide product mixes, high speed and customized features.

FLYING CUTOFFS
Thanks to the close collaboration with the most advanced steel tubes manufacturers in the world, Oto Mills has developed cutoffs performing in ways that were not even imaginable a few years ago.
Oto is proud to offer to the tube industry a unique wide range of flying cutoffs that satisfy all requirements. In addition to the well known heavy-duty friction saw cutoffs, more than twenty different models are available: Cold saw cutoffs covering the 4 mm to 220 mm tube diameter range, double shear cutoffs, rotary double cold saw cutoffs for stainless steel tubes up to 168 mm diameter, shear cutoffs, and other machines for special profiles.
When designing this new generation range of machines, special efforts are directed towards achieving the following results:
- higher cutting speed and design for use of all the cold saw blades currently available (HSS, coated, TCT, etc);
- longer blade life;
- minimal and easier equipment maintenance;
- ease of use;
- application of most current and customized software, enabling setting and recording of all key cutting and statistical parameters.
